The Sacrament of Baptism
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.
-Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
- Matthew 28:19-20
Parents, thank you for your interest to have your child baptized at St. Rose!
Please print one copy of the Baptism Information Form and 2 copies of the Baptism Godparent Form (one for each godparent), and return them to the Parish Office. The Godparent Form is for your chosen godparents to fill out and take to their home parish to be signed and stamped by their pastor. Once these forms have been submitted, please contact the Parish Office to set up a Baptism Class. Baptism Classes are given on an as-needed basis. Upon completion of the above steps, you will set up a time and date for the Baptism with Fr. Powers, who can be reached at (816) 324-5700 for further questions. Thank you!
